Dry shampoo
Dry shampoo is a cleansing product, but it’s not a replacement for regular shampoo!
Dry shampoos are powders or sprays applied to the roots of dry hair, where sebum tends to accumulate. Application is done with a special applicator or clean hands.
Common absorbent ingredients in dry shampoos include:
• tapioca, corn, or potato starch
• finely ground white clay
• enzymatic flours (rice, corn, oat)
• tree resin gum, talc
How to use dry shampoo properly?
Apply only on dry hair, focusing on the roots
For aerosol sprays, use from the recommended distance (check product instructions)
Can be used during the day to refresh your hairstyle
Helps extend time between washes, especially for oily scalps
Can also be used right after washing, on clean hair, to add root volume — ideal for fine, oily-prone hair
Important!
When you get the chance, wash your hair thoroughly with a regular shampoo to remove all traces of dry shampoo. It did its job, but now it needs to go.
